Bishop Design hits the jackpot securing not one but two SBID International Design Awards for Vegas’ latest adult’s only venue.

Shining a spotlight on innovative designs around the world, the SBID Awards have been highlighting the outstanding professional achievements of the creative industries for over a decade. Being presented with a coveted SBID Award represents the highest standards of excellence across the interior design profession!

With an esteemed international jury to lend their expertise, and an inspiring community of designers and architects who gathered for the ultimate celebration of design, this year’s SBID Award winners showcase the most creative, innovative, and forward-thinking design solutions. The winning entries were selected by an outstanding panel of leading A&D experts for technical content, aesthetic creativity, fit-for-purpose design and functionality.  

Welcoming an astounding 38,000 visitors and hosting 53 events, Play Playground garnered over 30,000,000 content views within its first two months of opening. 

Offering a unique concept that captures moments of nostalgia and adolescence engraved in our minds, guests can quite literally slide right into the venue. Celebrating the emotional connections created through play, it promises an unforgettable odyssey that evokes a sense of reminiscence for those in the know and a sense of awe and discovery for the modern era. It encourages its audience to switch off from the digital world and interact in an authentic social environment.

Taking inspiration from interactive installations and experiential museums, it was important that the experience could be immortalized through earnable pins, patches, and other branded collectible merchandise, encouraging players to return to win or expand their memorabilia. 

A fundamental design aspect was to create a one-of-a-kind customer journey through storytelling. With that in mind, imagine a visually immersive experience, like Wes Anderson meeting Alice in Wonderland, featuring rabbit holes, hidden doors, and secret passageways—but for adults. By collaborating with our sister company, Rogue - specialists in brand creation – we have created an unforgettable entertainment space where interior design and branding blend seamlessly.
