Construction Week | Paul Bishop makes Power 150

Double celebrations are in order as we congratulate Construction Week Middle East on the 15th edition of their Power 100 issue. Expanded to honor the occasion with 50 additional names, this Power 150 super list highlights the region's most influential professionals in Design, Architecture, and Construction. Paul Bishop was featured in this exclusive lineup.

 

Construction Week says "Paul Bishop, the Founder of Bishop Design, reappears on this year's list, reaffirming his influential presence in the architectural and design industry. Over the past year, Bishop has made significant strides, further establishing himself as one of the most recognised interior designers in the UAE.”

 

One key milestone within the past 12 months included the founding of Custard, marking Bishop's third company, in a joint venture with hospitality veteran James Stuart. This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of the hospitality industry by offering innovative and bespoke design solutions. Custard will focus on creating unique, immersive experiences that cater to the evolving demands of the global hospitality market, further solidifying Bishop’s influence and leadership in the industry. An official launch date is yet to be confirmed.

 

In the United States, Bishop was thrilled to collaborate with two-Michelin Starred Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa and Sault Hospitality on the establishment of Sereia, a Portuguese-inspired restaurant that redefines traditional fine dining. It features an omakase-style crudo bar showcasing Portuguese-inspired flavors, all presented in a highly designed yet unpretentious setting.

Other exciting projects include the launch of Play Playground, a 14,000 square-foot destination with a mission to get people off their phones and onto the leaderboards. Dedicated to gaming, this high-energy entertainment space welcomed an astounding 38,000 visitors, hosted 53 events, and garnered over 30,000,000 content views within its first two months of opening.
