Kapitol: Where Design, Play, and Hospitality Collide

Bishop Design is proud to unveil Kapitol — the newest social gaming and entertainment concept by Sunset Hospitality Group, launching this September at Rixos Premium Dubai, JBR.

Spanning 30,000 sq ft across three immersive floors, Kapitol marks the group’s first venture into the game-led landscape — the intersection of design, play, and hospitality. It’s a bold new chapter in experiential design for SHG, crafted to deliver energy, nostalgia, and pure entertainment through every detail.

Where Design Meets Play

From the outset, the brief was ambitious: create a space that blends high-impact gaming with elevated lifestyle experiences — all wrapped in a strong visual identity. Inspired by the Golden Age of cinema and the glamour of Art Deco, Kapitol delivers drama, edge, and sophistication.

The concept taps into nostalgia, movement, and atmosphere — everything from axe throwing, batting cages, and F1 racing simulators, to electric shuffleboard, retro arcade games, and a 360° photobooth. And that’s just the first floor.

Upstairs, guests can take a swing at a 14-hole mini golf course, while the top floor is home to 10 bowling lanes, three private karaoke rooms created in partnership with The Voice, and a series of flexible event spaces for VIPs, private functions, and exclusive experiences.

Every project we take on is about crafting a unique experience — and Kapitol is no exception. We designed it as a sensory playground, where no moment is static and no space is secondary.

We fully embraced Sunset Hospitality Group’s vision to innovate beyond the boundaries of traditional venues. The result is a cinematic, layered, and unapologetically bold space — one that challenges expectations and invites exploration. Materials, lighting, and spatial transitions were all carefully curated to fuel curiosity and deliver impact.

Kapitol represents a strategic expansion for Sunset Hospitality Group into the entertainment and game-led space — and for Bishop Design, it was the perfect opportunity to explore what happens when interior design becomes the gameboard.

In an age where audiences crave more than just a night out, Kapitol offers a multi-sensory, socially driven playground that’s both high-tech and high-style.
