A New Chapter in Dubai and Beyond
The Frantzén name is synonymous with innovation—both in the kitchen and in the spaces it inhabits. Following the success of its flagship locations, Studio Frantzén has made its mark in one of the world's most dynamic hospitality hubs: Dubai. Located within Atlantis The Palm, this latest outpost is a testament to the brand’s continued evolution, blending Scandinavian minimalism with bold, immersive design and a high-energy dining experience that reflects the city’s vibrancy.
Bringing Studio Frantzén to Dubai
Dubai is a city that thrives on exceptional experiences, and Studio Frantzén fits seamlessly into its landscape. As the more casual yet equally captivating counterpart to the refined FZN by Björn Frantzén, this concept delivers a high-energy, immersive dining environment designed to push boundaries—much like the cuisine it serves. From meticulously crafted interiors to the theatrical open kitchen, every element has been curated to reward curiosity, ensuring no two visits feel the same.
Housed within one of the most recognisable destinations in the world, this restaurant reaffirms Atlantis The Palm’s commitment to offering world-class dining experiences that constantly evolve. The synergy between the brand’s Nordic-Asian culinary philosophy and its visually striking interiors creates an atmosphere that is both unexpected and unforgettable.
What Sets Studio Frantzén Apart?
At its core, Studio Frantzén is about discovery—both in flavor and in space. The design takes guests on a journey through a mystical Scandinavian forest, where intricate details and hidden elements encourage exploration. A perfect example of this philosophy is the custom-designed skull wallpaper, which evolved from a shared admiration between lead designer Paul Bishop and Chef Björn Frantzén. Inspired by Nordic folklore, it subtly weaves symbolism and storytelling into the space, inviting guests to look closer and uncover the unexpected.
Similarly, the hand-painted murals by Neel Shuklar of FSRG, depicting a surreal journey through nature, add an artisanal touch that brings depth and storytelling to the space. The lighting, curated by Studio N and supplied by Truelux, plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experience. Designed to transition seamlessly from day to night, it enhances the drama of the interiors while maintaining an inviting warmth. Meanwhile, a bespoke chandelier, designed through multiple iterations to capture the essence of Scandinavian light, acts as a symbolic focal point, tying the space together in an immersive and emotive way.
More Than a Restaurant, a Global Expansion
With its debut in Dubai, Studio Frantzén marks another milestone in its global expansion—but the journey isn’t stopping here. This opening signals exciting possibilities for future outposts, where the brand will continue to bring its signature fusion of elevated dining, bold design, and immersive storytelling to new destinations.
As Studio Frantzén continues to carve out its place on the international stage, one thing is certain: this is just the beginning.
