From table dancing antics and the esteemed title of Firm of the Year, through to Worlds Best Leisure Interior and Best Global Restaurant Design, not to mention the incredible people we have had the pleasure to meet and work alongside, it seems that we have lived through too many awesome moments to count… but there are definitely some that stand out against the rest!

You may know him best as the internet sensation seen prepping meat in memes across the world, but we will always know Salt Bae as the Chef at the helm at one of our most iconic projects. Nusr-et in Four Seasons Hotel came to life in 2014 and incorporates a combination of rustic overtones along with the utilization of distressed urban materials and an eclectic selection of furniture. Other monumental interior design projects not too long after Nusr-et include Best Global Restaurant Award Winner Bazxar and New York style speakeasy Little Black Door, both incredibly regionally acclaimed and frequented by many.

Travel South from these jaw-dropping venues, and you might find yourself in Roberto’s Ristorante in Abu Dhabi. In 2017, this creation achieved the title of Worlds Best Leisure Interior by the prestigious International Property Awards. The venue was sympathetic to the food offering, realized through  a fresh sophisticated design styling which encapsulated the very essence of what Roberto’s is and was to become.

Fast forward to the last two years, our team here at Bishop Design have reached unprecedented standards as they have evolved their design capabilities into not only designing hotels, but award-winning hotels. Our first ever hotel Studio One was named the Best Hotel in Africa & Gulf by design industry magazine Design et al at the International Hotel & Property awards. Now as we head into 2020, our portfolio boasts way over 15 hotel designs across the UAE, Muscat and China.

Not only has our team pushed their design finesse to the absolute maximum, but their relentless passion and intelligent design led to the accolade of Firm of the Year by Design Middle East just last year. In the studio we love the phrase “you are only as good as your latest work” and this recent achievement goes to prove that we are dedicated to being ahead of the game and continuously completing the best designs possible. Our very own Paul Bishop also made industry headlines in 2018 with his long awaited win for Interior Designer of the Year by Commercial Interior Design. He celebrated his achievement with a monumental dance on the table – a moment that will never be forgotten…

All of our achievements over the last 10 years and in the future are only a reality thanks to our amazing design team and wonderful Clients whom we are so honored to work alongside.
